Interview process

Recruiter contacted, set up 1st round phone screen with a senior engineer. 45 mins with 20 mins on past projects etc diving in detail before talking about AI/LLM concepts. Was easy. 2nd round was 2 standard leetcode coding questions, 45 mins with 1st 15 mins on behavioral, so only 30 mins to solve both questions but was quite doable. Walked through the brute force naive approach before moving on to the optimal solution and O(n log n) time complexity.

Interview tips

Brush up on LLM basics like RAG including how it works under the hood, cosine similarity, vector embeddings, etc.

Company culture

Team was quite smart with mostly PhDs. They seemed chill and nice people.
